Parents are encouraged to support our school community by joining our PTO. Parents and guardians can apply for elected leadership positions on an annual basis. Our PTO Board for 2020-2021 includes: President: Mrs. Karla Breen (Child in 7th grade)
Vice President: Mr. Aaron Wilson (Children in Kindergarten and 5th grade)
Treasurer: Mr. Jose Barillas (Children in 5th and 8th grade)
Secretary: Mrs. Claudia Barillas (Children in 5th and 8th grade)
The main functions of a parent-teacher organization (PTO) are to raise funds for the school’s current operational expenses, to promote parental support for the school program, and to increase mutual understanding between school and parents. The membership of the parent teacher organization shall include the principal, the parents or legal guardians, and the faculty of the school, where applicable.
Parents enjoy being a part of the PTO because they are able to be more involved in their child’s school and active membership fulfills the requirement of school service hours.
